GOLF AND THE NEW GENERATIONS
The HR experts of the organizations are warning the phenomenon of the new generations and restructuring their policies to get along with the new members of the world of work. They have detected new interests in Generations Y and Z, as digital natives are called.
That said, it is imperative to think that if the large organizations in the world of work are concerned about listening to the world of millennials, the golf community should also be paying attention. Youth numbers are not growing in many countries.
Historically the proportions of young people in golf statistics are well below the number of men and also women. When it is said that golf is a sport for «old men», the calculations give a certain reason for it.
✔️Who’s going to replace older generation golfers if golf doesn’t appeal to digital natives?
✔️ Will the leadership, the clubs and the golf industry be thinking of new incentives to attract them?
✔️ Will the penetration rate of this sport in the new generations be enough to sustain the costs of the golf infrastructure?
